Posted: 24 AprilThis game is an incredible re-imagining of the original Myst, and manages to hold up graphically today despite being an upgrade of a 3D game which itself was a remake of a game released way back in 1993. The addition of an extra age to explore is a nice bonus. The one thing I would complain about, however, are the few videos which had to be re-recorded in order to fit into the real-time rendered version of the game. I felt like the performances in these new videos was not up to par with the originals, feeling rushed and unconvincing, and for that reason I still recommend new players experience the original prerendered version of the game first through Myst: Masterpiece Edition.
