I came across Project X Zone 2, and after doing a little reading found that there was limited time preorder DLC available for the game. Normally I don't care about stuff such as this, but this particular DLC pack offered an exclusive challenge stage (titled 'The Woman from 10 Years Ago'), so it kind of irked me that gameplay was being withheld from the overall experience. I wrote Bandai Namco asking if there was any hope in still finding this content, and holy hell, they came through for me!! They gave me download codes for the Rare Item Pack and the 3DS background theme, and they both worked just fine (the background theme code needs to be entered in the 3DS Theme Shop).

Bandai Namco distributes free DLC for Project X Zone 2: Brave New World, Perfectly Nintendo reported. The DLC includes a new weapon called Moonlight Spear, accessory which is the Topaz Medal and three special items - Deep-fried Tofu set, Urashima Special and Black Liver Bean.
All I had to do was provide Bandai Namco with proof of purchase and ownership. This proof can include copies of receipts, and pictures of the game box + game cart if you purchased the physical edition; receipts for any DLC you bought for the game probably wouldn't hurt either since it shows you successfully used your software to buy content from the eShop.Therefore, if you own the game and thought you missed out, there's still hope! There's no telling how many codes are left though, so you may not want to put off getting this extra content for too much longer. Would you mind me asking a little random question regarding Project X Zone? What kind of game is it? I looked up the game play trailers, but I couldn't get a clue. It's described as tactical/strategic RPG by some, but I can't find parallels to other typical games of the genre like Stella Glow or Fire Emblem and the battle sequences I saw look more like beat em up action.Thank you!

As for what I did, I just contacted Bandai Namco's customer service , and carried out the conversation via email. Just be prepared to tell them the region of your game, system and eShop account, as well as show them pictures of your game box (both sides), game cart, proof of purchase (if you bought from Amazon or Best Buy, there should be purchase records in your online account); I also included receipt of purchase for DLC to show them I successfully bought something in-game with my game and system. If you have any other questions, just let me know. Project X Zone 2 has DLC for purchase, however it can't be purchased directly from the eShop.
It only becomes available for purchase after you complete the first/tutorial chapter. Upon completion, you'll see some menus where you can customize, train, read the 'Crosspedia' and purchase 'Add-on Content'. After buying any add-on content, Nintendo sends you an email telling you what you bought, along with your transaction ID, Nintendo Account ID, how much you spent, etc. Just snap a photo copy of this info and that should be enough.
